Hey Friends!
I’m not a quitter, but sometimes you have to admit defeat if you want to move forward and that defeat has come to Your Golden State.
We’ve been publishing this newsletter in one form or another, and other names for the past ten years. We never expected to get rich publishing it nor did we want too, but we did wang to see it grow. That’s where the defeat comes in.
We’ve never reached our goal of just getting 100 followers no matter what we have tried. At this point I don’t think we ever will so we decided that is was time to take a break from YGS and make some hard decisions.
As of now I’ll be writing on our sister publication here on Substack DelPaggio’s Cucina. If you haven’t checked it out you should. It’s a personal cooking newsletter with recipes, reviews, videos and maybe more in the coming months.
I would move you over myself, but I don’t want to upset anyone, so I’m going to let you decide if you want to follow us over there. Just click on the link above and you can sign up.
I will be taking down the paywall very soon so don’t sign up for that. It started out that way and I have one payer left and as soon as their plan is up I’ll change it over.
Everything is free and there is nothing hidden, don’t worry.
The newsletter will have more stories about how cooking became a very important part of my life in Sicily and here in America. The stories will be added to recipes as I can remember them to make the newsletter more personal and fun.
We want to thank everyone who has supported us here on YGS. One never knows if this will come back in the future as something better so we’re leaving it up for now.
Heck, we may even write a thing or two while we’re on hiatus.
