Have you been to Yosemite? If you have, why did you go, and what did you do?
If you haven't, why would you want to go, and what would you like to see?
I'm asking these questions for an excellent reason.
See, I went to Yosemite years ago, and my reason for going was to relax. What I saw and did was all about waterfalls and swimming in ice-cold water.
What I didn't see, nor did I want to, was black bears charging at me for food. I wouldn't mind seeing a black bear in the water or hanging out in the woods, but charging me is no way.
If you're planning a relaxing trip to Yosemite, look out for hungry bears, as you will read about in this article from Ashley Harrell, California Parks Contributing Editor of SF Gate.

Remember the days of being reprimanded by a teacher, your parents, or possibly if you went to Catholic School by, a nun or, worse, a priest?
I still remember those days, not that it happened often, but I did get reprimanded often enough to remember.
Well, now Yosemite Park Rangers are sounding the alarm about tourists and their gross behavior.
I'll let Sam Mauhay-Moore, Trending News Reporter for SFGate, give you all the details here.

What's a weekend without knowing what's going on in Fresno and surrounding areas.
You may not live here, but some readers, along with Patti and me, do, and we enjoy seeing what the city has to offer us and visitors.
Jason Farris and the writing team of FRESYES bring us the latest on everything happening in Fresno this weekend and in the coming week.

How about visiting and drinking at a 143-year-old bar where Wyatt Earp would hang his hat and wet his whistle after some serious gunslinging?
To me, it sounds like the perfect thing to do on a Saturday afternoon or, for that matter, any old time.
The Tivoli Bar and Grill will give you the feeling you're in an old western if you visit it in San Diego's famed Gaslamp Quarter.

California has its share of tourist attractions, from ocean views to theme parks, vistas of colorful flowers, deserts, and so much more.
One tourist attraction is like no other: the grove of giant sequoia trees of Highway 4 at Calaveras Big Tree State Park.
But you should be aware of something big happening on this 1.5-mile hike.
Here is Andrew Chamings, Editor-at-Larger from SF Gate, with the details.

It always amazes me when a tiny city stands out and makes changes that aren't normal for a city, especially in California.
Petaluma is that kind of city, and I wish more cities would take after it, from banning new gas stations to being the first city in the Bay Area to offer free transportation for all bus services. You read that correctly: FREE!
Here's the entire lowdown from Greta Reich, Summer Intern from SF Gate.
