Hi Friends!
With all the heat here in Fresno, seeing an article about the Fall foliage around California excited us.
Patti has lived here all her life and has never experienced the fall foliage on the East Coast. I told her about it and even showed her pictures, and she agreed she had never seen anything so beautiful.
I've been here a little over 15 years, and while I've seen some fantastic Fall foliage, I still haven't seen anything like the East Coast. That's not to say California doesn't have fantastic Fall foliage to check out; it just isn't the East Coast.
However, some places may challenge the East Coast to determine the best.
We'll let you decide.

Now that I'm done boasting about the East Coast and knocking California, which I don't mean to do, let's talk about fall foliage in our great state.
The following article is from the California.com Team, and it gives you all the details you'll need to check out this year's Fall foliage around California.
We hope you enjoy the show of colors.

The kids are back in school, and you wanted to do one more road trip with them, but you couldn't think of where to go.
It happens, but the good thing is you still have time, possibly over the holiday weekend in September. Plus, Miranda Ceja, Patch Staff, has ten day trips she recommends.

This next article is about a drive in California called 17-mile drive. It encompasses Pebble Beach Gold Course and surrounding communities, all with breathtaking views.
Back east, we have a similar drive called 10-mile drive that is in Newport, Rhode Island. It also has a breathtaking view of the oceans and mansion homes, like a 17-mile drive, although there aren't many gated commutes, and you feel welcome to take the drive.

I've been living here for a little over 15 years, and the one place I would love to visit, and it's on my bucket list, is Baja, California.
I'm not sure why I want to visit Baja is so important. It might be my surfing background and wanting to go surfing one more time before I go, or maybe it's how Patti described it to me.
Either way, our next real vacation, which means longer than two days, is a trip to Baja.

How much do you like Pastrami? I'm a massive fan of it, especially after living in New York for years and dining at many of the city's delis.
I never realized there was a place in Burbank where they produce 50,000 pounds of Pastrami a week for California's top delis.
I mentioned changes coming to this newsletter, and we're starting with one today.
Some will be links to other California stories we recommend, and some may be videos or podcasts for you to enjoy.
Podcasts and videos might be reviews of places we've visited, dined at, or even had some libations.
Either way, we're expanding the reach of our newsletter by adding more pertinent content from California.
So get ready for more!
Let’s start with the stuff below… It won’t always be like this. Promise!
