A furry little mammal, Disneyland Haunted Mansion, Help for LA fire victims
Hi Friends!
We’re going to try something different in the layout.
Hope you’re enjoying the podcast? I’m still getting it organized and on the track I want so just have patience with me as I move forward.
Be Wel! Stay Safe!
Major Airlines are getting on board in helping victims of the Los Angeles flyers by matching donations made by frequent flyers using their frequent flyer miles to help. Travel & Leisure has the complete details here.
…if you don’t have miles here are other ways to help
VisitCalifornia.com also has a way to help support vistimes of the fires. Here is an extensive list of agencies and ways you can help.
Here are a couple of stories from SF Gate. One, about a mountain lion terrorizing a dog at a residence in downtown Downieville just this past week.
The second about an elusive mammal that was photographed recently and might be the first time a human has seen a Mountain Lyell Shrew. It hasn’t been trapped or recorded in two decades.
Disneyland News Today has a story about the new bride scene at the Haunted Mansion that might be of interest to some.
Then, SF Gate has a story about Disneyland and the legend that “no one” dies there.
Los Angeles isn’t the only City dealing with fires. On Thursday, SF Gate reported that one of the world's largest lithium battery plants, at Moss Landing in Monterey County, went up in Flames, prompting evacuation and stay-inside orders due to toxic fumes.
What happens when you text a bunch of fake landlords, knowing that the results will probably be, but hoping for better results? SF Gate and reporter Dan Gentile decided to find out.
I’m unsure how many sports fans read this newsletter, but there may be a few. I, for one, am a Red Sox fan. Always have been and always will be, but I do have a space in my heart for the San Francisco Giants if only because they have Mike Yestremski on their team, the grandson of the Red Sox great Carl Yestremski, whom I happen to know personally from back in my playing days.
SF Gate reporter Alex Simon is covering the controversies surrounding uniform Number 35.
Worth the Read!
Closing with a feel-good story from the Press Democrat of a Sonoma County animal rescue traveling to LA to help with animals impacted by the LA fires.
Thanks for reading the newsletter. If you enjoyed it as much as we enjoy getting it together please “HEART” so we know. It makes us feel good, and lets us know we’re doing okay!
