Hi Friends!
Last week I posted seven articles thinking, seven articles for seven days. It seemed like a good idea not to overwhelm you with information. I did it again this week and may keep it that way. Let me know if you like that.
Enjoy the Weekend!

Cinco de Mayo may be today, but a lot is happening around Fresno to celebrate over the weekend.
A little background from their site:
Cinco de Mayo is all about celebrating Mexico’s victory over France in the Battle of Puebla, way back in 1862. While it might not be the biggest holiday in Mexico, in the United States, and especially here in Fresno, Cinco de Mayo has become a time to indulge in all things Mexican, from mariachi music to margaritas.

The California Sun Newsletter!
Written and published by Mike McPhate (one of my favorite daily newsletters) had an article about Backbone Trail. After reading it, I decided to check it out further and had to add it to this weeks newsletter.
Here’s a little from the article. The rest is here .
To take the truly scenic route from Malibu to Pacific Palisades, you won't need a car. Pull on your hiking boots and head out on the Backbone Trail to experience the most spectacular and wildest parts of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. The trail's 67½ miles travel to woodsy canyons filled with native oaks and sycamores; high points for views of the Channel Islands in one direction and the San Gabriel Mountains in the other; and 16-million-year-old rock spires that look more like Arizona than L.A.

Cathedral City is an amazing spot.
When I first moved to California in 2005, it was one of the places I visited while living in, North Shore, on the Salton Sea. It was a great spot to dine, drink and hang and get away from the lifeless city of North Shore.
Here’s a little from California.com:
Are you searching for a place to settle down that combines urban conveniences with a small-town feel? Look no further than Cathedral City, California. Fresno, Los Angeles, and San Frisco aren’t the only places for food trucks. Here’s a look at Bakersfield, where the food truck industry is growing.
If you've driven along Rosedale Highway lately, you may have noticed an area that has several food trucks. The Patio Food Court has been at its location on Rosedale between Fruitvale and Coffee for a few weeks, and the food truck owners say they are happy with how business has been for them so far.

That’s a wrap for this edition…

We hope you enjoyed this week's California Mishegoss, even though it was calorie-laden. Maybe it's what the good doctor ordered; then, maybe not.
