Best Ways To See The Fireworks at Disneyland
Since 1956, the fireworks have been blasting off over Sleeping Beauty Castle to the delight of Disneyland guests. The first Disneyland fireworks show was called Fantasy in the Sky, and, much like today, the blasts were timed with music that was played throughout the park. Today, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park have their own nighttime spectaculars, Wondrous Journeys and World of Color One.

The Sutro Tower in San Francisco is not a UFO Contrary to UFO Enthusiasts
Whether it’s flying disk-shaped clouds or weather balloons from China, unidentified flying objects are a source of continuous fascination for the general public. A 2021 TikTok video filmed from a plane window is going viral yet again, this time on Twitter. It shows a three-pronged metal object peeking out of the clouds and claims to be from a Delta flight cruising at 38,000 feet over California.

Best Ways to Get Around Wine Country Without a Car
Here’s a GrUber works best in populated areas. If you’re exploring downtown tasting rooms, it’s generally easy to use the app to get back to your Airbnb or hotel. However, if you Uber to a remote vineyard miles from town, there may be quite a wait to catch a return ride, since there’s not likely to be a driver nearby. (You also may not even have cell service.) So while the answer is yes, ride-hailing apps are an option for Wine Country transportation, they may or may not be the best choice, depending on your itinerary.

Spring Time and Places to Visit in California
You move to California for city life, maybe chasing a dream to Hollywood or hauling new tech to Silicon Valley, but you stay for nature. There is the desert in the Southeast, forests along the coast, mountain ranges running the length of the state, and one of the most fertile growing regions in the world right in the middle. So whether you’re looking for giant redwood trees, epic sunsets over painted rocks, big waves crashing into a jagged coastline, or hidden creeks burbling through boulder-strewn ravines, California has it—and just about any other dramatic natural vista you can imagine, too.

Mickey’s Toontown Returns to Disney
On March 19, after closing for refurbishment over a year ago, the highly-anticipated reopening of Mickey’s Toontown at the Disneyland Resort brought thousands of visitors to the tiny land on an overcast, drizzly day. Long seen as a dead area at Disneyland with little to no green spaces, closed attractions like Goofy’s Bounce House taking up valuable real estate, and a temperature that always seems to be 10 degrees hotter than anywhere else in the park during summer months, Mickey’s Toontown has been completely revamped into a child-friendly haven with three playgrounds, multiple green spaces and a reimagining of both Donald and Goofy’s homes.
A Private Tour of the ‘SCREAM’
At the end of a winding road about an hour north of San Francisco, a strangely familiar mansion looms on the horizon. Surrounded by sprawling fields of grazing dairy cattle and long stretches of highway dotted by lonely roadside flower stands, the house is completely invisible from the street and seemingly sealed off from the rest of rural Marin County.Â
A Zoo Isn’t Always Just a Zoo
Established in 1907, Sequoia Park Zoo is the oldest zoo in California and one of the smallest accredited zoos in the country. Situated next to the magnificent old-growth redwoods of Sequoia Park, the zoo is truly a jewel in the heart of Eureka. It’s a major draw for tourists and locals, schools and families, students and researchers – anyone with an interest in animals, conservation and education.
The Summer of Love…Free Love and Psychedelics-Discover Haight-Ashbury
Haight-Ashbury is one of the most eclectic and iconic neighborhoods to explore in San Francisco. This one-of-a-kind destination has a radical history known for its counterculture and hippie lifestyle, most exemplified in the 1967 Summer of Love — a pivotal era characterized by free love, psychedelics, artistic expression and rock and roll.

Remember the Days of Slot Car Racing?
SLOT CAR RACING IS ONE of those quintessential 1980s and 1990s hobbies that visitors might remember alongside old-school arcades and animatronic pizza places. Many people will remember these races fondly but may be surprised to find that the hobby is still very much alive and kicking with weekly competitions and cash prizes.
Slot Car City has survived more than two decades thanks to a dedicated base of fans that keep coming back, as well as new people who pick up this high-paced hobby.Â
